Since we are on pioneers, I bring you an album of one of the classics of the progressive world (and one of my favorites): King Crimson. And in one of the favorites of many courses, that of 1972-74, with which they took as fudamentales discs Lark's Tongues in Aspic or Network. At this time KC is different from what they were doing bands like ELP, Genesis or Yes, and his own earlier style, and build a style much more acid, more 'rock' if you will, a much more hard and difficult.

iMPRoVaTTaKc Vol.1 was published in 2002 by DGM, with material from the year 74, and contains 3 live improvisations of the group. King Crimson has been characterized throughout his career for being a great live band, either playing their subjects of study or jamming. A tremendous versatility of these musicians, and the many sounds they achieve. They range from a calm and almost lyrical violin passage, to insane electrical pathways, through hypnotic sections or textures that could be called pointillism. Musicians

* David Cross: violin, viola, mellotron
* Robert Fripp: guitar, mellotron
* John Wetton: bass
* Jamie Muir: percussion & Allsort [?]
* Bill Bruford: drums
